1. What is the main intention of commenZ?

We guys behind commenZ are daily web users, are looking for partners, good stories and great offerings in the internet and we have recognized that almost everybody states to be the best, the fastest the cheapest,… Why? Because he CAN write on his own website whatever he wants! That’s why we have developed commenZ, so that potentially every web user is able to see conveniently what others are mentioning about certain pages, stories or offerings. Furthermore everybody is able to say his own opinion and give his own commenZ, clearly, straight forward and neutral – his own “2nd truth”.

2. But there are forums on many pages already where I can write whatever I want to that page already?!

Yep, you’re right! BUT such forums are in “the hands” of the page owners themselves. And if they don’t like your statements, they can easily delete it and nobody else will recognize that – commenZ is neutral!

3. What is the “commenZ toolbar”?

The commenZ toolbar is a free plug-in for your web browser (download here). Installed in your browser, it shows to you if others have already written commenZ to the page you are surfing on. When there are green bars in the toolbar, the page has been rated positive – if there are red bars, others have rated it negative – the more bars you can see the better or the worse the page has been rated. You can also see the headlines of the written commenZ in this toolbar and can click on it to write your own commenZ with your own “2nd truth”.

4. I have made own experiences with certain companies and services promoting in the internet – how can I write my own commenZ?

If you have installed the free commenZ toolbar (download here) you just need to click in the menu onto “write commenZ” when you are surfing on a certain page. You can also write commenZ when you are surfing on the commenZ page just via clicking onto “write commenZ” – so write as many of your own experiences and thoughts as you can and help and show others your very own 2nd truth.

5. Can I only write commenZ to companies or services in the internet or can I also write commenZ to e.g. videos I find in video communities like YouTube or certain users in auction platforms like Ebay?

Sure, you can potentially give commenZ to anything you find in the web. No matter if it’s a service, a company, a video, a product, people and their statements at any internet address or anything else – write and rate whatever you want to!

6. What are “tags”?

If you or another commenZ user writes commenZ you can assign them to certain categories as well as “tags”. Tags are something like keywords that are related to your commenZ. With this others can find commenZ interesting for them more easily via the search functionality of the commenZ page or clicking through the “tag cloud”.

7. I just wanna read commenZ of other users. Do I need to register as a user?

No. If you just want to read commenZ there’s no need for you to register for free.

8. Why should I register?

First of all: IT’S FREE :-) - Additionally you are able to write your own commenZ then and you get your very own “my commenZ” area where you can see the commenZ you wrote, can subscribe easily to certain searches of your own, can monitor commenZ of certain users or topics and many more. Try it by yourself here.

9. Can I choose another position of the commenZ toolbar in my browser?

Yes, usually you should be able to do this easily. Click with the right mouse button onto the commenZ toolbar first. There you should see a point called “fix symbol bars” or something like this – this mustn’t be checked. As soon as you’ve unchecked this point you should be able to drag and drop the commenZ toolbar to different areas of your web browser.

10. Can I de-activate the commenZ toolbar?

Yes. In “extras” of your browser you should find “symbol bars” – there you can find the commenZ toolbar. Just uncheck it and it’ll be switched to inactive mode.

11. Can I uninstall the commenZ toolbar?

Yes, like every other software on your computer you can uninstall the commenZ toolbar. As soon as you’ve uninstalled it, the commenZ toolbar will be removed from your web browser and computer.
